Kundalini Yoga class on Wednesdays

ABL Pilates studio

Yoga classes are suitable for all levels. You don’t need any previous experience; any yoga level is good to start practicing kundalini yoga and no yoga experience is good as well. There is no age limit.

We will do some combination of posture, pranayama (breath work), mantra (chanting) and meditation. The classes may vary on a scale between gently meditative and extremely physical – although there are usually a proportion of both these aspects within every class, and both contribute equally towards the deeply transformative effects of a kundalini yoga practice.

Preparing for Class

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first class.

Don’t eat heavy meal prior class

Wear loose comfortable clothing.

Please bring a shawl to cover yourself for relaxation, and water to keep yourself hydrated during class. Mats and blanked are provided.

At the start of every Kundalini class we tune in by chanting:

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo’– it is the Adi Mantra. Translated “I bow to the Creative Wisdom, I bow to the Divine Teacher, it is chanted at the beginning of a Kundalini Yoga session to help us tune into the Divine flow & self-knowledge we all carry within.

At the end of each class we tune out by chanting:

Sat Nam – The words Sat means “true/everlasting” and Nam means “name”.
